On January 1, 2024, the Interim Regulations on the Administration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Flights (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") came into force. Drone triple coverage explained
With the introduction of the policy, drone third party insurance became mandatory. The Regulations stipulate:
Chapter 2, Article 12 The use of civil unmanned aerial vehicles to engage in operational flight activities, as well as the use of small, medium and large civil unmanned aerial vehicles to engage in non-operational flight activities, shall be insured against liability insurance in accordance with the law.
Chapter V Article 48 Violation of the provisions of this regulation, civil unmanned aerial vehicles are not insured against liability insurance in accordance with the law, the civil aviation administration shall order correction and impose a fine of more than 2,000 yuan and less than 20,000 yuan; if the circumstances are serious, the unit engaged in flight activities shall be ordered to suspend and reorganize until the revocation of its certificate of operational conformity.
